Clearing Caches

Clearing the cache on Internet Explorer PC.

In the top menu click on the ‘Tools’ item, then click on ‘Internet Options’.

This brings up a screen with 6 tabs across the top (General, Security, Content, etc.).

Next, click on 'General', then look for 'Browser History’ or ‘Temporary Internet Files'.

Click 'Delete', (then, if you are asked to, check 'Delete all offline content'), then click 'OK'. Click 'OK' again.

Click on the menu-bar for the application and select the "Firefox" item. Next select "Preferences".

In the window that then appears, click on the "Privacy" item on the left (second item down the list).

Next, find the option called "Cache" - usually the last option in the list - and click on the "Clear" button.

Finally, click on the "OK" button and your cache will have been emptied.

At the top left corner of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox tab, then History and select Clear Recent History.

Beside Time range to clear select how much of your history Firefox will clear. You should clear all of your history (Everything). 

Click the button next to Details to select what history to clear. Tick the box next to ‘Cache’ and click ‘Clear Now’. 

Clearing the cache on Safari on Mac.

Click on the menu-bar for the application and select the "Safari" item.

Next select "Empty Cache".

On the pop-up window that appears click "Empty".
